Linen care guide<\/p><\/div><\/div>

If you treat your clothes with care, you will wear your favorites for many years to come! Here is our linen care guide with good advice on how to wash and take care of your Dalia garments.<\/p>

Think about how often you wash<\/h5><\/div>

As linen as a natural fabric is more breathable than synthetics, you will sweat less wearing linen. Therefore, for good linen care consider washing the garment less often. Washing machines have a wearing impact on linen and by washing less frequently you garment will live longer. And if you want to look out for the environment, washing less will reduce the environmental footprint of your garment significantly, considering the large amounts of water and detergent you will save.

If you find that your garment smells a bit after you have worn it but is not dirty, we recommend simply hanging out your garment for a few days in the fresh air. Airing out clothes in sunny or rainy weather is both effective, easy, and reduces washing. <\/p>

Use the right soap<\/h5><\/div>

Linen should be washed with wool shampoo, wool soap, or soap flakes. When using these, linen is impregnated and creases less. Never use regular washing powder when you wash linen, as it contains bleach and solvent that can damage the fabric. With the wrong soap, linen is scoured and loses its shine and flexibility.

If you accidentally wash your garment with the wrong soap, we recommend soaking up the linen overnight in a mix of soap flakes and warm water. This method will give the linen its shine back. The same procedure can easily be done if your garment after many washes starts to look hard and worn.<\/p>

Wash gently<\/h5><\/div>

Most linen can be washed in the washing machine on a short program. To ensure good linen care, we recommend cold wash or washing at maximum 50 degrees. For knitwear, cardigans and dresses with buttons use a washing bag to ensure that the machine does not damage the fabric. With very thin or delicate knitwear we advise you to hand wash.

After washing, you should air-dry linen garments. If you wish to iron the linen, do it while the fabric is still damp and with the wrong side turned out. Pants from our collections do not need ironing if they are pulled a little lengthwise in wet condition and then hung to dry. By pulling the fabric, you straighten the linen fibers and avoid ironing. <\/p>

No shrinkage<\/h5><\/div>

In our production, the linen is prewashed and softened before sewing. This means that Dalia linen garments do not shrink after washing.<\/p>
